I must now return my cell phone back to Wal-mart and get another. (sigh) I did not think the battery would crap out so soon. I only had it not even a month, and it's only for emergencies. Yeah, next phone I get I'll charge once a week if it needs it or not. >_>

Other than that it has been a quiet Independence Day for me. I heard the fireworks going off outside this evening, but that was about it for me.

Let's see if I can collect my thoughts here. There isn't too much, but I want to get it right.

The viewing went well. Met people (family as well as folks from when I went to church as child) I have not seen in ages. Saw Grandma in the viewing room. Mom said they made her look too stern (I thinking it was the eyebrows), but she did look good. I told her that I loved her, and I'll see her later.

Kiddo drove us (Mom, Dad, MiMi, and myself) to the grave site; however, the directions were wrong and we got lost. We did make it, and Dad was able to be there with his brothers. Mom, Kiddo, MiMi, and I stayed in the van with the A/c on as it was over 100F outside. Luckily there was a canopy for the folks outside.

Once the service was over, we headed back homeward and had Chinese food at our favorite restaurant. Kiddo did the driving, and I paid for the meal. I knew Chinese food and being with us would make Dad very happy.

So that's the run down (basically) of what happened yesterday.

May it be a long while we have to do this again.

This how my Grandma Hazel looked around eight years ago. Kiddo had this up on her Facebook, and she said it was okay if I post it here as well.

The funeral will be on Thursday with a viewing in the morning and a graveside service in the afternoon. I'll talk about the events later.

Like your grandmother being in the hospital, and it's been decided to let her go.

More news as they come, but if I seem a bit subdued you know why.

Update: 12:10 am 6/22/09Dad just called to let me know Grandma Hazel passed away.

Like, phone, Internet, and TV all from being from the same source say... AT&T?

We had some major storm move through here early Thursday morning. Dad and I was planning on buying groceries, but we both felt like you know let's not muck with the weather and wait for Friday. So after my morning farming run in XI I took a nap. During said nap the power goes out for a second (I knew by the squealing of the CO2 monitor plugged into my wall). I get up thinking everything is normal, ate lunch, watched Bleach.

Then I was going to check on Mom and Dad and find out the latest antics of Buddy and Palar (not Palom like we once thought), but I picked up the phone only to get no dial tone. Okay this has happened before I'll get on Skype and call Dad; however, the program never came up. Then I saw it; the red light on my router. Uh oh... Even the TV didn't work. I had no way to let Mom and Dad know what was going on.

So what did I do? Well, I did maintenance on my computer and played Princess Maker games. By 11pm I was ready for bed. by the time I was drifting off to sleep Dad comes a knocking at my door around midnight. So to make this part short, I went to spend the night at my parents' place. Called AT&T and found out the were outages, so I had to just hang lose.

Slept on the sofa with Buddy, and all was going well until thought it'd be a great idea to stick his butt in my face. Needless to say he got pushed off. >_>

Dad and I finally went to the store, and I made my first perchance on the gift card I had won and got a few days ago (yes I've been lazy posting). I bought myself a prepaid cell phone with 1k minutes. I also saw Buster, and he got everything working for me.

Stayed a few more hours at Mom and Dad, saw Palar, leeched off of Dad's Internet, and AT&T told me that there were no more outages >_>

Okay I was tired and cranky as well as sore (from sofa sleeping), so it was time for me to go home since I have a cell phone now.

Phone came back on line a few minutes after Dad left, and then the Net came back fully after I had a much needed bath.

So now tomorrow I have to get ready and go our monthly Sweeps meeting that Kiddo and I have missed since Jan. >_>

Oh boy am I tired. (yawn)

Yep it's Dad's birthday. It was a good time for all for all of us to get together and celebrate. Kiddo gave Dad a portable DVD player, and later this week-end I'm going to buy him a printer. I'm also hoping to buy myself the same type, but more about that some other time.

Buddy was so happy to see of us in one place. :D

MiMi made a chocolate cake, and I showed Mom my new netbook. A good time was had by all. Hope we can do it again next year.
